In 2017, Dr.Li Chen founded Likang Life Sciences with a focus on the research, development, and commercialization of precision immunotherapies for cancer. Under his leadership, the company’s leading product, LK-101, received clinical trial clearance from China’s National Medical Products Administration (NMPA) in 2023 and successfully entered Phase I clinical development, becoming the first AI-driven, personalized mRNA cancer vaccine targeting patient-specific tumor antigens to advance into clinical trials in China. In 2025, LK-101 also received clinical trial clearance from the U.S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA), making it the first—and currently the only—China-developed product of its kind authorized to enter clinical trials in the United States.
Beyond advancing clinical development in both China and the United States, LK-101 has also achieved a significant milestone in translating technological innovation into real-world application. As the world’s first AI-driven, personalized mRNA cancer vaccine of its kind approved for commercial use, LK-101 has been applied in more than 100 cases since receiving approval in Hainan in February 2025, covering 10 types of solid tumors, including lung, pancreatic, and liver cancers.
Dr.Li Chen was selected for the Beijing Association for Science and Technology’s Young Talent Development Program in 2022. In 2023, he was named to the MIT Technology Review Innovators Under 35 Asia Pacific list and recognized by 36Kr as an “X·36Under36” S-tier young entrepreneur. In 2026, he received the Forbes China Industry Development Leadership Award.

陈立博士于2022年入选北京市科学技术协会“青年人才托举工程”；2023年入选《麻省理工科技评论》亚太区“35岁以下科技创新35人”，并获评36氪“X·36Under36”S级青年创业者；2026年荣获“福布斯中国行业发展领创者”称号。
