Most recently, Dr. Huang is the CEO and Chief AI Architect of Alpha Ladder Particle, an AI-native company developing scientific intelligence for energy and mission-critical infrastructure. The company’s AI-for-science platform integrates agentic reasoning with physics-based, multiscale digital twins to accelerate the discovery, optimization, and validation of advanced materials and components. Its current applications include membranes, catalysts, electrodes, hydrogen-storage materials, fuel-cell components, energy-storage technologies, and thermal-management materials for power conversion and resilient energy systems.
Previously, he was an Investment Partner at Asia Green Fund, where he helped mobilize more than $500 million to support the commercialization and scaling of technologies across renewable energy, smart mobility, sustainable fuels, advanced materials, and biomanufacturing.
Earlier in his career, Dr. Huang led product marketing at Picarro, a Silicon Valley pioneer in laser-based analytical technologies and Internet of Things solutions for environmental monitoring, semiconductor manufacturing, and public utilities.
Dr. Huang also has experience in the public sector, having served as a Climate and Global Change Fellow with the National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration under the United States Department of Commerce.
His work lies at the intersection of materials science, artificial intelligence, energy systems, technology commercialization, and infrastructure development. He focuses on translating scientific and engineering advances into scalable technologies and commercially deployable solutions for energy-intensive industries.
Dr. Huang received his undergraduate degree from Peking University, an M.Phil. from the University of Hong Kong, and a Ph.D. from Princeton University.
