Dominic Barton 鲍达民

Dominic is Chair of Rio Tinto and Chair of LeapFrog Investments, an impact investment firm focused on emerging markets. He is also a Senior Advisor and Partner at Radical Ventures, a leading AI investment firm.

From 2019 to 2021, Dominic served as Canada’s Ambassador to the People’s Republic of China, appointed by the Right Honourable Prime Minister Justin Trudeau.

Previously, he was a Senior Partner at McKinsey & Company and served three terms as Global Managing Partner from 2009 to 2018.

Dominic concluded his tenure as Chancellor of the University of Waterloo in 2024. He has also held several prominent board roles, including Chair of Teck Resources (2018–2019) and Non-Executive Director at Singtel in 2019.
