Zhang Jiwei is the Managing Editor of Caixin.com and an Editorial Board Member of Caixin Media. He joined Caixin Media in October 2009. Previously, he worked at CAIJING Magazine from 1999, as a staff reporter, assistant managing editor in charge of the Capital and Financial Markets Desk, and associate editor starting in 2005. Prior to CAIJING Magazine, Mr. Zhang worked for Nanfang Daily in Guangzhou from 1998 to 1999, specializing in economics reporting. In October 2006, he won a fellowship through the International Center for Journalists, interning with the Washington Post for a month.
Mr. Zhang graduated from the School of Journalism, Renmin University (BA) in 1998. In 2003, he was a visiting scholar at the School of Law, University of Nottingham. In 2008, he was a visiting scholar at the Graduate School of Journalism, University of California, Berkeley.
张继伟于2009年10月加入财新传媒，现任财新网总编辑、财新传媒编委。1998年，张继伟加入《南方日报》经济部；1999年加入《财经》杂志，历任《财经》杂志记者、编辑部主任、主编助理、副主编。2006年10月，张继伟获得国际新闻记者中心（ICFJ）奖学金，在《华盛顿邮报》实习一个月。
张继伟于1998年毕业于人民大学新闻学院，2003年曾作为诺丁汉大学法学院访问学者，2008年作为加州伯克利大学新闻学院访问学者。
